DSA was founded in Edinburgh in 2014 by architect Dugald Skene. Working across Scotland and beyond, the studio designs homes and extensions shaped by landscape, light and the changing patterns of modern life.

Before establishing the practice, Dugald studied architecture at the University of Strathclyde and worked with a number of architectural firms in Glasgow and Edinburgh. His experience spans a wide range of projects, from major public infrastructure schemes to sensitive interventions within some of Scotland's most significant historic buildings.

Drawing inspiration from the principles of mid-century architecture, Dugald's work is characterised by carefully considered proportions, honest materials and a strong connection between inside and out.
